SPEED CAMP
PEEWEE THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL
After 9 years of Bob Veller’s Conditioning Camp, we have developed a new focus……SPEED. This camp will take the best speed and conditioning components from Veller’s Conditioning Camp and add spring training, explosive start training and plyometrics.   All of this geared toward the new age hockey players desire to become faster on the ice.   Off ice speed translates into on ice speed, this is what we will focus on. Camp runs 4 days per week, 3 days of off-ice and 1 day of on-ice. Off ice training will focus on foot speed, explosive starts, sprinting form and speed, agility, leg strength and endurance.   This camp has been designed from a combination of experiences with professional and collegiate hockey teams, Professional football and baseball training sessions   Bob’s degree in Sports Medicine form Northern Illinois University . Players must be PeeWee (born 1996) age of older. Skating sessions concentrate on form, speed, agility, quickness and endurance on the ice.   Hockey is a non-linear game and all skating drills focus on this aspect of skating.   All activities on the ice are organized to duplicate a typical “shift” during a game.   On-ice sessions are geared toward the High School / Travel hockey player.  All players are invited but realize on and off ice drills are complex and demanding.
Morning classes fill very quickly.   We can only hold a spot with full payment and waiver. (20 players max per session)
