Pre-mites is for players passing through the Hockey Tot class, Learn to Skate Tots 2 class, Pre-alpha class or can skate the length of the ice with a push and glide motion (not a marching or walking motion). Class covers all the basic skating techniques used in the game of hockey along with an introduction to puckhandling, passing and shooting all in a fun and eduactional atmosphere. This class is intended to give kids the basic introduction to the sport of ice hockey so they may continue their education of the game for years to come.

Forward skating / balance / edges
Stopping / hockey turns / forward crossovers
backward skating / stickhandling / passing / shooting
Equipment needed:
HECC certified hockey helmet with face mask
Elbow pads and shin guards
Hockey gloves, hockey skates and stick
(Helmet and skates can be rented at the rink)
Hockey pants and shoulder pads are optional for this class
